Raised in Lubbock, A.B Hill’s music journey started with learning to craft a song through storytelling. After closing his BBQ joint after a life changing injury, A.B. hit the road playing his songs all over the state and any place that would let him. He had lost all he built for his family including his mental and physical health. He knew he still had his art and the power of a song. After some time, A.B. starting playing with different players in different towns and cities singing his healing songs. Songs about making it through hard times and believing that hard work and faith can get a person through anything. Whether A.B.’s songs are considered Blues, Country, Honky Tonk, or Rock N Roll, A.B. says there’s some Gospel sprinkled throughout that has stood him back up overtime and set him free once again.
