Alpine string band, billed in full as the Calamity Creek String Band, playing old-time fiddle tunes and traditional bluegrass. The group came together in early 2022 and made its public debut at a fundraiser for the Alpine Public Library; players have included Samuel Cason, David Keller, Mark Lewis, Ivan Goff and Jessica Lutz. They hold a regular slot at The Ritchey and have played Viva Big Bend and the Big Bend Bluegrass Festival.
