Marfa musician and radio host, born in Houston and a working Texas bandleader for years before moving to Marfa in 2007, where he turned an old funeral home into a music venue. He plays classic border music -- ranchera, conjunto and norteno -- in a long-running duo with Primo Carrasco, and also fronts the Beebe 3, an alt-lounge outfit. On Marfa Public Radio he hosts the late-night soul show Night Train Express. He has also served as a Presidio County commissioner.
