Houston Texas-blues guitarist, singer and songwriter Jay Hooks, who took his early cues from Albert Collins, Billy Gibbons and Stevie Ray Vaughan and played in Lavelle White's backing band before going out on his own. He cut his debut "Hooked Up" at SugarHill in 1997, signed to European label Provogue for a self-titled follow-up in 2000, and returned in 2025 with "Tequila & Bullets".
