Jeanie Aird is a fully independent folk musician based in Texas, USA. She combines cinematic, folklore-driven imagery with candid and vulnerable storytelling to create albums with vivid emotional arcs. Her debut indie pop-folk album, 3rd Law, is OUT NOW!
3rd Law is a folk concept album - a world rooted in South Texas. Although the album has a distinct Texan identity, songs from 3rd Law have charmed listeners internationally, resulting in radio play in over 20 countries. In the spirit of folk stories passed down across generations, the album tells a generational story inspired by the Texan beach town where Jeanie grew up. In 3rd Law, she goes back to her hometown to write some folk songs, tell a story, and capture the sun. Every instrument, lyric, and production choice exists for a reason, all in service of one central idea: for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. 3rd Law is an album created to do good and incite change; Jeanie has pledged 20% of all digital/physical album revenue to non-profits that focus on de-stigmatizing addiction and improving life for residents of her hometown of Corpus Christi, TX.
