Jesse Joe & The 96ers are a five-piece band out of Odessa, Texas, built from West Texas oilfield workers from Odessa, Midland, Pecos, Sonora and Iraan. They call their sound "Trash Folk": country rock, Americana and raw folk with a gravelly Texas voice up front, written for night-shift workers and underdogs.
Frontman Jesse Joe started out in high-school rap battles in Pecos, has worked the oil fields since 2017, and runs Mirage Studio in Odessa, where the band records. The 96ers came together at the start of 2026 and broke out on Season 21 of NBC's America's Got Talent: their original song "Grindstone" won yeses from Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell and carried them through to the live Quarterfinals. Their latest record, Cherry Bronco, came out in February 2026. Jesse has shared stages with Bad Bunny, Post Malone and T-Pain and made a cameo on Paramount+'s Landman. Expect a loud, high-energy show.
