Matt "The Cat" Hillyer

Dallas honky-tonk singer, guitarist and songwriter who founded Eleven Hundred Springs in 1998 with Steven Berg and Richie Vasquez. Over 23 years that band played the world, released more than a dozen albums and became the benchmark for a swinging Texas country band before playing its last notes at the end of 2021. He cut his teeth in the rockabilly outfit Lone Star Trio and the rock band Strap around Deep Ellum through the nineties, and has recorded solo since - 'If These Old Bones Could Talk' in 2014 and 'Glorieta' in 2021.
