Remijio 'Primo' Carrasco is a Marfa musician, historian and retired railroad worker, originally from Chihuahua. He plays the classic border music of the Chihuahuan desert -- polka-inflected conjunto, norteno, bolero and Tex-Mex exitos viejos -- in a long-running duo with David Beebe, and has backed Gary P. Nunn at Ballroom Marfa. On Marfa Public Radio he hosts the Spanish-language show 'Dos Horas Con Primo'.
