Born and raised in Casper, Wyoming, Quinlan Valdez found live music through elementary-school performances in local performing arts programs, and was drawn particularly to acoustic American music. He learned banjo and guitar, began writing songs in his teens, and has been recording his originals since 2018 while performing across Wyoming and the neighbouring states. His sound stays engaging and lively, with a charm that brings out the peaceful joys in life. His song "Blue Sunlight" was selected for the 2023 Wyoming Road Trip Playlist, and his releases include "Little Birds", "Where Miracles Play" and "Tumbling Bounds".
